Ubuntu Tweak 0.4.7
After a month since the last update we have the new Ubunut Tweak 0.4.7 with minor improvements.
Deleting old kernel with Ubuntu Tweak easily thus far not accumulate in the grub options and frees the space they occupy.
Introduction of the "power user" so that you avoid having to authenticate with your password when you access the system management options of Ubuntu Tweak.
Ubuntu Tweak supports the distributions derived from Ubuntu, Linux Mint 6 and Greenie
It also included new sources of applications for very easy installation from Ubuntu Tweak. These are: Ibus Input Method, Getting Thing Gnome!, Wine-doors, transmission, Blueman, Synapse, Gwibber, Firefox and Midori daily edition
Installation
From a terminal edit our sources.list
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
and add the following lines to Ubuntu 8.10
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ubuntu intrepid main
or for 8.04 the following lines
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ubuntu hardy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ubuntu hardy main
Store, and returned to the terminal and execute the commands
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com FE85409EEAB40ECCB65740816AF0E1940624A220
to retrieve the key pgp authenticating packages to download, and
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
Thereby update the repositories and install Ubuntu Tweak.
Update
If we had it installed since we only update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
