It's a problem loading a Windows DLL. The solution that worked for my discharge passes through it winetricks and Wine install redistribution package libraries Visual Studio C + + 2005. From a terminal run the following commands:

wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks

Which will download winetricks and:

sh winetricks vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2005

Whereupon libraries installed Visual Studio C + + 2005 SP1 and our Wine.

This solution is not specific to Ubuntu, and safely work on other Linux distributions.

Surely few of us do not play WoW using Wine on Linux. People should beware Blizzard a bit and maybe contribute to the Wine project to the game client works for everyone.

As a curiosity the game update the partition that I have with Windows ruled incomplete. After suggesting the installer Wow Patch 3.3.0 to completely reinstall Wow and to the bleak picture that it represents (install 3 dvds and download multiple heavy patches work many many hours) I thought that in view of the update My Ubuntu 9.10 was successful simply choose to copy the game folder in Wine to the partition for Windows and that was enough to make it work properly.
